This intensive course provides the necessary tools and mindset for leaders to step into difficult conversations with confidence, empathy, and respect. The training is designed to empower leaders to approach challenges with curiosity, avoiding the fear of making mistakes, and focusing on continuous growth to ensure all team members feel heard and respected.

You will Learn:

  • To explore what conflict competence is and the underlying principles required to step into the “heat” of conflict skillfully, including open discussions about race and identity.
  • To understand polarity management— the ability to hold competing, opposite values and views— and develop skills to understand and respond to the needs of all stakeholders, rather than responding to the loudest few.
  • To understand and practice using positional and personal power constructively in diverse team environments.

This is one of four courses included in the Leadership for Troubled Times Certificate.  The others include Psychological Safety, Facilitating Dialogue and Deep Diversity (self-directed).
