What is DEI training?
DEI training focuses on building equity literacy, inclusive leadership competencies and organizational change strategies through understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion without blame or shame.
What courses are offered for DEI training?
Courses include Deep Diversity, Brave Conversations, Authentic Management, and Authentic Facilitation, plus two leadership development programs called the BIPOC Leader Lab and DEI Lab for White Leaders.
What is the Deep Diversity Summer Institute?
The Deep Diversity Summer Institute is a 4-day, online event held every August, where participants explore equity and inclusion strategies based on the foundational framework outlined in the bestselling book Deep Diversity.
Are there self-directed DEI courses available?
Yes, the online self-directed Deep Diversity: Creating Inclusive Organizations course— four 45min. online interactive modules covering bias, emotions, identity and power– can be started at any time.
Can I book in-house DEI training?
Yes, on-demand, in-house DEI training is available for all listed courses.
What is the Anima Inclusive Leadership Certificate?

What is allyship?
Allyship involves members of dominant groups, such as white people working to end racism or men working to challenge sexism, speaking out and acting against oppression. True allies partner with non-dominant group members rather than rescuing them.
What is unconscious bias?
Unconscious bias refers to automatic, unacknowledged prejudices that affect daily interactions and decisions. This bias influences how people judge others and their work, often based on stereotypes or societal norms.
What is equity vs equality?
Equality is the concept of treating everyone the same, while equity recognizes that individuals have different needs and provides the necessary support to achieve fair outcomes.
What is a microaggression?
Microaggressions are discriminatory acts that are subtle or indirect. They reinforce negative stereotypes and can create hostile environments for marginalized groups.
