Ontario Public Supervisory Officials’ Association
Equity and Inclusive Education Membership Survey, 2013
Anima Leadership conducted a membership survey for the Ontario Public Supervisory Officials’ Association (OPSOA), a professional organization representing superintendents and educational directors across Ontario. With an increased growth in diversity in Ontario, OPSOA had struck a committee to assist supervisory officers meet their goals of equity and inclusion in education.
In partnership with the Institute on Governance, the Anima team worked with OPSOA to design a membership survey to assess diversity knowledge and hear equity experiences among their membership. OPSOA sought to collect the data to guide the development of future programs, support and provide educational resources for its members. The project team used current research within smart practices for inclusive workplaces to construct the survey.
Upon completion of the survey, Anima presented of the draft results to the OPSOA Equity Committee and produced a final report. This was then presented to the OPSOA Board of Directors and the OPSOA conference in April 2014.
“During the entire research project, I was very pleased with the level of consultation, communication and ability to meet our needs. The team were very knowledgeable in the research process and while listening carefully to what we wanted out of this research, they were able to provide guidance and leadership in devising the survey content and analyzing the results. I would highly recommend Anima Leadership to provide similar services to other organizations.”
