Sectors We Serve

In our diverse and increasingly interconnected global community, we need individual and organizational leaders who can embrace change in times of uncertainty, build relationships across difference and resolve conflict with integrity and compassion. Our team has worked extensively with the following sectors to offer training and consultation services designed to support this kind of leadership.

Public Sector: Education, Healthcare and Police

Anima recognizes that the public sector is in the midst of great change: Baby Boomers are retiring, ethno-cultural diversity is increasing, and the private sector is knocking loudly at the public services door. We work with the public sector to build strong and inclusive workplaces that navigate well through times of change while continuing to offer high quality and accessible services.

Not-for-Profits and Unions

Anima services rejuvenate non-profit organizations and unions squeezed in the last decade between significant budget cuts, increased demand for services and a rapid pace of organizational change. Effective leadership, practical management, promoting diversity and organizational competence are what we offer to help maintain the essential services provided by this sector.

Women

Anima services are tailored to meet the complex and busy lives of professional women who care about creating change and yet struggle with the number of demands on their time, the still present structural barriers in the workplace, and inner fears of inadequacy. Gender is an area of specialization for Anima Leadership and we offer powerful leadership, equity and coaching services specifically tailored to address the unique contexts of women.

Youth

The staff at Anima Leadership has deep roots in youth engagement and development. Fundamentally, we believe that society greatly underestimates young people and devalues their abilities and commitment. Our programs not only offer new knowledge and relevant skills, but have participants practice living leadership— where they step into positions of responsibility, power and decision-making during our trainings. We have developed a highly innovative leadership process integrating social justice ideals with conflict transformation, equipping participants with skills to truly work across the differences that divide us.

Socially Responsible Businesses

In this increasingly diverse and globalized economy, Anima services can make a big difference to businesses faced with a host of human and systems challenges including worker shortage, increasing competition for products and services and a rapidly changing technological landscape. We develop cutting-edge leadership competencies and help to form highly open and creative teams that are resilient, inclusive, and, ultimately, more productive.
