Anima Leadership

Intercultural Conflict and Peace-Building Program

With a focus on peace-building and violence prevention, this is an experiential program inviting stakeholders from different communities in conflict into a residential process to both transform and build relationships. Having altered lives in conflictual situations in North American, Europe and South America, this program is one of our more intense and powerful offerings.

We cover a variety of foundational skills and theory including diversity, power and anti-racism theory together with emotional intelligence skills of self-awareness, empathy, communication and mindfulness. About halfway through the program, we INVITE conflict into the room and lead a reconciliation process involving a series of group conversations and dialogue formats including large group council, separate group caucuses, small group breakouts and ceremony.

Based on first hand experience across different international contexts, we believe that it is possible to heal the deep rifts in and between organizations and communities with time, skills and the right processes. This program equips participants with greater self-confidence, awareness as well as practical skills and knowledge to create changes in their immediate lives and communities.
