With a focus on peace-building and violence prevention, the ALIVE program for youth covers a variety of topics including racism, gender issues, and bullying. The foundations are built upon developing self-awareness, empathy, assertiveness and conflict resolution skills. Youth are mentored directly throughout our program, are supported in taking on various leadership roles, and leave equipped with greater self- confidence, awareness as well as practical skills and knowledge to create changes in their immediate lives and communities.

“Creating a community supported by the teenage participants and facilitators was incredibly fascinating and broadened my views of teenage capabilities. My eyes were opened to that which I didn’t know even existed, and every moment was interesting in its own way.”
“I have never had adults respect me and actually listen to me like these coordinators have. It helps the whole experience when adults are practicing what they preach.”
“I am going away knowing that I also can be a leader in every single moment of my life. Thanks.”
