Bridging difference, living diversity - 2008 and 2009

November and December found the Anima team high in the mountains of Bolivia, in the capital city of La Paz. This country has stirred incredible hope and awe throughout Latin America with the election of the first indigenous president, Evo Morales in December of 2005.

The first week-long residential Diversity and Equity Leadership Insitute was offered in July 2009. Drawing leaders from non-profit organizations, police, health care and schools, this program helped many to shift their understanding and approach to diversity, equity and inclusion work.
